Ana Galán was born in Madrid in 1969. After receiving her degree in Economics, she completed an International MBA, which entailed studying in three different cities: Oxford, Madrid and Paris. In the last two courses, she wrote a thesis addressing “Speculation in Plastic Art”. Highly interested in human nature, one of her first decisions upon achieving independence and embarking on her professional career in Paris was to create her own personal creative space. She became inseparable from her analogue reflex camera and purchased an ancient enlarger (circa 1925) at the marché aux puces.
Since 1993 she has combined this passion with her profession, attending various courses and workshops in Paris and Madrid, such as EFTI’s Master in Photography “Concept and Creation”, and since then has participated in several collective exhibits and photography projects. She works as the marketing director for a magazine in Madrid, and lives between Guadalajara and Paris.
She has been selected to participate in the Photoespaña “Descubrimientos” exhibit for 2010 and in Encontros da Imagem “Emergentes” exhibit for 2010
Ana Galán nace en Madrid en 1969. Tras licenciarse en Economía General realiza un MBA Internacional de 3 años en 3 destinos distintos: Oxford, Madrid y París. Durante los 2 últimos cursos redacta una tesis sobre la “Especulación en Arte”. Muy interesada en la naturaleza humana, una de sus primeras decisiones al comenzar su vida profesional en París e independizarse es crear su propio espacio personal, a través del objetivo de su réflex analógica de segunda mano y su ampliadora de 1925, adquirida en el marché aux puces.
Desde este año 1993 compagina esta pasión con su profesión, asistiendo a varios cursos y talleres en París y Madrid, como el Master EFTI de Fotografía “Concepto y Creación y, desde entonces, participa en diversas exposiciones colectivas y proyectos fotográficos.
Actualmente trabaja como directora de marketing de una revista en Madrid, viviendo a caballo entre Guadalajara y París.
Ha sido seleccionada para formar parte de Descubrimientos PhotoEspaña 2010 y de Emergentes dentro del festival Encontros da Imagem 2010
Ana Galán est née à Madrid en 1969. Après avoir obtenu une maîtrise en économie, elle a suivi un MBA international de trois ans (ESCP Europe) dans trois villes différentes : Oxford, Madrid et Paris. Au cours de ses deux dernières années d'études, elle a rédigé une thèse sur « la spéculation dans l'art ». Portant un grand intérêt à la nature humaine, une de ses premières décisions, lorsqu'elle a pris son indépendance et a débuté sa carrière professionnelle à Paris, a été de créer son propre espace à travers l'objectif de son appareil reflex et de son agrandisseur de 1925, acheté au marché aux puces.
À partir de 1993, elle concilie cette passion avec sa profession et participe à plusieurs ateliers et cours de formation à Paris et à Madrid, comme le Master EFTI de photographie « Concept et création ». Elle présentera ensuite ses œuvres dans différentes expositions collectives et autres projets photographiques.
Elle occupe actuellement le poste de directrice de marketing d'une revue madrilène et partage sa vie entre Madrid et Paris.
Elle a été sélectionnée pour participer à « Descubrimientos » de PHotoEspaña 2010, au prix « Emergentes » du festival Encontros da Imagem 2010 et au « Pati de la Llotja » du Festival Emergent-2010.
